Bursitis

We have found that many people are diagnosed with "bursitis" incorrectly. Bursitis is a painful inflammation of a normally helpful structure called a bursa. A bursa is a fluid-filled slippery sac between muscles, tendons and bones that reduces friction when you move. Shoulder and hip bursitis are common and occur when those areas and their muscles, tendons and joints are not functioning properly. A medical doctor will most likely recommend anti-inflammatory drugs or cortisone shots to reduce the inflammation. We will determine WHY the the inflammation is occurring, fix that and the inflammation will naturally become less or even go away. If you are tired of dangerous drugs or living with pain, give us a call. After a thorough exam we will explain your options.

After a thorough exam to determine the cause of your hip pain a plan will be developed with procedures designed to help reduce the inflammation in your hip, relax any muscle spasms, strengthen muscles, and improve the mobility of the hip joint. Specialized exercises and stretches may be assigned to help decrease recurrence of the problem. Also Laser Therapy may be used to decrease inflammation and encourage healing of the affected tissues.
